Justin Rose Wins the Quicken Loans National at Congressional

PGA: Justin Rose shot a -1 under par 70 in the final round to beat Patrick Reed and a filed of under par contenders at the Quicken Loans Nation championship outside Washington, D.C. With Tiger Woods and Jason Day failing to make the cut Rose was the highest ranked player remaining in the field.

Michelle Wie Captures the LPGA US Open Title at Pinehurst

LPGA: The renovated Pinehurst #2 course has been tamed last week by Martin Kaymer and yesterday by Michelle Wie. She won with a -2 under par score two strokes ahead of ladies world #1 Stacey Lewis who finished at even par.

Tiger Woods to Return to PGA Action at Next Week's Congressional Tournament

PGA: The much anticipated returned of Tiger Woods to the PGA tour is now less than one week away. Woods announced late this past week of his intent to play in the Congressional tournament likely with his sights set on competing in both the Open Championship and the PGA Championship.

Martin Kaymer Wins the US Open With -10 Under Par Performance

PGA: Germany's Martin Kaymer won the 2014 US Open in a wire-to-wire performance at Pinehurst #2. Rickie Fowler and Eric Compton finished T2 at -2 under par eight strokes off the lead.
Kaymer now moves to #11 in the world golf rankings and ensures his spot on the European Ryder Cup team. Will Pinehurst #2 Be Up to the Up to the US Open Test?

PGA-LPGA: Will the Coor and Crenshaw renovated Pinehurst #2 course be up to the test of back-to-back PGA and LPGA US Opens the next two weeks? The first two rounds of the men's US Open this week should be quite telling. One major question on the minds of the players is the distinction of sand bunkers and the rather raw and rustics wast areas. The USGA has decided to have one rules official walk with each group and be available in real-time to answer players' questions.

Ben Crane Wins the St. Jude Classic

PGA: Ben Crane shot -10 under par to win the St. Jude Classic in Memphis one stroke better than Troy Merritt's -9 under par. This win should give Crane much needed confidence moving into this week's US Open at Pinehurst #2 in North Carolina.
Meanwhile, Phil Mickelson finished with a respectable -6 under par and 2 over par in Round 4. Many questions remain about Phil's game and concentration as he arrives at Pinehurst. Hideki Matsuyama Takes the Memorial Trophey at Jack's House

PGA: Japanese phenom Hideki Matsuyam, just 22 years old, won the Memorial Championship at Jack Nicklaus' Muirfield Village golf course in a playoff over Kevin Na. This was Matsuyama's first win on US soil after winning three times as a pro golfer in Japan.

Along with Kevin Na, both Bubba Watson and Adam Scott made valiant attempts but come up a few shots too many to challenge Matsuyama. So, what is next for Matsuyama? Surely, the US Open at Pinehurst.
