Tiger Woods finished Round 2 of the Quicken Loans National at -8 under par just two stroke off the lead held by Kevin Chappell who is still on the course at -10 under par.

PGA Leaderboard: http://www.pgatour.com/leaderboard.html

Two sub-par rounds of golf does not make a tournament, let alone a season, however, -8 under par represents Tiger Woods best performance of the 2015 PGA season. Does this bode well for Tiger as he looks to the up-coming PGA Championship at Whistling Straits? Well, let's wait until Sunday night to see where he finishes. And just what will the balance of the 2015 season hold for Tiger ... a strong year-end finish positioning him - perhaps - for a strong 2016 or continued struggles to re-gain his pre-injury form from 2012. Zach Johnson Wins the Open Championshion to Claim His Second Major Title

Zach Johnson claimed his second major championship win today after a three man playoff with South Africa's Louis Osthuizen and Australia's Marc Leishman.  Johnson's win by one stroke came after a four hole playoff under relatively benign weather at St. Andrews' Old Course.

This win will not only boost Johnson in the world golf rankings but also bodes very well for both his FedEx Cup chances and the US Team's strength in the President's Cup in South Korea. America's Johnson and Speith has now won three of the first four majors championships for 2015. Will the US make it "four for four" with a win at the upcoming PGA Championship in early August? Send us your predictions here at the Pro Golf Tour.

Jordan Speith Comes Up One Stroke Short of the Open Championship Playoff

Jordan Speith shot a final round -3 under par to finish tied with Australia's Jason Day at the Open Championship at -14 one stroke behind Zach Johnson, Louis Oosthuizen and Marc Leishman at -15 under par who moved into a three man playoff. While Speith's dream of a 2015 Grand Slam may have come to an end yet his place at #2 in the world golf rankings is secure and the PGA Championship is just 3 weeks away. Speith also continues to hold a commanding lead in the FedEx Cup rankings as the post-season playoffs draws near.

As for the Grand Slam, there are surely many great years ahead for the young Texan who turns just 22 years old next week. And even if an "annual" Grand Slam is not in his future, a "career" Grand Slam seems easily within reach. Let us know your comments on young Jordan here at the Pro Golf Tour.
