Jordan Speith Comes Up One Stroke Short of the Open Championship Playoff

Jordan Speith shot a final round -3 under par to finish tied with Australia's Jason Day at the Open Championship at -14 one stroke behind Zach Johnson, Louis Oosthuizen and Marc Leishman at -15 under par who moved into a three man playoff. While Speith's dream of a 2015 Grand Slam may have come to an end yet his place at #2 in the world golf rankings is secure and the PGA Championship is just 3 weeks away. Speith also continues to hold a commanding lead in the FedEx Cup rankings as the post-season playoffs draws near.

As for the Grand Slam, there are surely many great years ahead for the young Texan who turns just 22 years old next week. And even if an "annual" Grand Slam is not in his future, a "career" Grand Slam seems easily within reach. Let us know your comments on young Jordan here at the Pro Golf Tour.
