Golf in the 2016 Olympics - Challenges for PGA and European PGA Tour Schedules

Golfers around the world are all very excited about the return of men's and women's golf to the 2015 Olympics in Brazil. However, the Olympics - every four years - will pose major challenges for professional tournament schedules in the US, Europe and Asia.

With the four top-ranked players from each country eligible to play Olympic golf next year the impact on PGA and European PGA tournament schedules will be significant. the Olympics will take place in August. The PGA announced this morning that the 2016 PGA Championship will be played just two weeks after the Open Championship.
