Tiger
Woods showed some of his classic golf techniques today shooting a -6
under par in the opening round of the Wyndham Championship in
Greensboro, North Carolina. This is his first time playing in this event
and is a great opportunity to play some low stress golf while many of
the top-ranked golfers take a week of rest prior to the post-season.
Woods finished two strokes off the first round lead held by Erik Compton and William McGrit at -8 under par.
This event is Tiger's last chance to capture enough points to reach the top 125 in FedEx Cup points to reach the playoffs which begin next week at the Barclays tournament. Will Tiger make it into the 2015 FedEx Cup playoffs? Send your comments to the Pro Golf Tour.
Woods has stated that if he missed the FedEd Cup he will play in international tournaments until the 2016 PGA tour wrap-around season begins this fall.
