Jason Day Surpasses Jordan Spieth to Lead the FedEx Cup Rankings

Jason Day has undoubtedly played the best golf of his career over the past 6-8 weeks. His win this past week at the Barclays moved him into the #1 poll position in the race for the FedEx Cup ahead of Jordan Spieth. Spieth had been leading the FedEx Cup points race most of this season until he missed the cut at the Barclays opening the way for Day to capture the lead.

This week's Deutche Bank tournament represents a showdown on two fronts: First, contention for the FedEx Cup. And second, position in the World Golf Rankings. Rory McIlroy regained the #1 position in the World Golf Rankings after Spieth's missed the cut at the Barclays and will play the Deutche Bank championship. Spieth needs either a win or top 2-3 finish to overtake Day atop the FedEx Cup rankings. So who has the edge heading into the Deutche Bank tournament? Send your picks to the Pro Golf Tour.
