American Tom Hoge leads the Wyndham Championship half way into the second round at -11 under par one stroke better than 2016 Ryder Cup Captain Davis Love III who finished at -10 under par. The critical question for this tournament is two-fold: Who will make it into the FedEx Cup playoffs? And second, for those already assured a spot in the magic 125 heading into the Barclay's tournament, how much will they improve their FedEx Cup point total?
This we know for sure: Barring a major collapse Tiger Woods, currently sitting at -7 under par with nine holes to play will move into Round 3. Tiger needs to either win or place solo second place to move into the FedEx Cup playoffs. Being four strokes off the lead with two rounds to play gives him plenty of time to catch the leaders.
